My 1/15 approval still hasn't arrived at dealer.  Waiting two weeks for an approved stamp is worse than waiting 4 months for the papers to process.

I'm right there with you on the 1/15 approval. It is worse because I know that thing is approved and I'm just at the mercy of the mail clerks. My dealer hasn't seen a stamp all week.

I bet the 3' of snow that hit Martinsburg, WV stopped stamps from going out the 22nd through at least the 24th.

I saw this and decided to call today since I have one that went pending on 9/18.   Apparently, it went into problem status on 1/25.   Sounds like I somehow boogered up the trust name on the form 4.  Correction letter on the way to my dealer.

Nice!

I wonder if it's worth calling yet? I filled out the paper work for a form 4 trust on 9/17 and it was most likely mailed a day or two after that.

My last one took like a day shy of a month from approval to the dealer. It just sat around for 3 weeks or so before getting mailed out.

This wait is so ridiculous that it could put a crimp in my travel plans.  I'm having to get the NFA branch to FedEx a certified copy of my F4 to my FFL/SOT.

Great.  I get to pay $31 for overnight shipping because someone couldn't be bothered to mail out a letter.

I was in contact with an examiner since early January about a 5320.20 for the soon to be approved Form 4.  I have some time sensitive plans so the examiner was willing to accommodate me before the 30 day period that is usually required to elapse before they will send a certified copy to the transferor or maker.

Well there seems to be a lot of 1/15 stamps that haven't been received yet. So did they approve them and just never finish the paperwork, or did they burn our forms to stay warm in the blizzard?

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I'm still waiting on a 1/13 approval. It seems my bad luck has rubbed off on other forms . My last one did the same took forever, turns out the lovely ATF didn't bother to put postage on the envelope they sent the approved for in. Sucks but I'm close to being able to get a certified copy.

It's looking that way. It's a stretch but I noticed on nfa tracker a 1/13 approval that hasn't been received was approved by ms. Fravel. Looking at her approval to arrival time it seems they are all right at 30 days before showing up. I know nfa tracker isn't the most accurate but maybe a possibility?

I'll call later today and see who my examiner was. Personally it's never taken longer than 2 weeks to get a stamp after approval. I'm curious if they just make a big pile and then do mass mailing. But if that was the case then the approvals from after shouldn't be showing up, and they are.

I don't know if they are stuck at some post office that got screwed up from the blizzard or what not. I just hope our stamps show up soon.

My examiner was Marsha Wadsworth. According to NFA tracker, mine was her first approval since September. I'm guessing she doesn't do them all the time. Her time from approval to stamp received varies from 2-4 weeks.

I'd assume your examiner is one of the ones that does them at home.  They get a bunch, go through them, approve them and then bring them back into the office to ship them all out in bulk.  So that's most likely what your waiting on...
My second to last one, which was also an MG was like that....took a month to get the stamp after approval.

Yea I've been getting a lot of "unknown" examiners lately with barely any logged approvals(nfatracker).  The Mac stamp took less than a week though.  So that was nice :). Sorry to rub it in man

After reading your post, I decided to call today.  Mine went into problem status on the 25th, which I already knew, and she said the correction letter was mailed yesterday (02/04/16).
