There's no probable cause to believe any laws were broken. Even if noise ordinances were being broken, there still isn't justification to ask for NFA paperwork.
At a minimum, police would have to see FA parts. I don't believe high rates of fire is enough for anyone to determine FA vs rapid trigger pulls, bump firing or slide fire type devices.
Is it easier to show your Form 4s and keep shooting? Absolutely.
Is there probable cause to believe any laws were broken? No way.
Even at the "Reasonable Suspicion" standard, a patrol officer is going to have a hard time justifying asking for NFA paperwork based on the sound of gunfire alone, especially on private property in an area where the discharge of firearms is allowed.
