I don't think that's a true statement. What might have been said was that a trust can't hold a C&R. The question gets asked quite often as to whether a trust can get an FFL, so maybe the same question/issue was being discussed about C&R? |

I set up a trust last year and have a C&R older than the trust. |

Ok, so it's what I thought. You can't apply for a C&R as a trust, just like the trust can't file for an FFL.
But, nothing is stopping you as an individual from getting your C&R and also being a grantor/trustee of a trust. |

ATF now contends that trusts are "persons" under the GCA (the MG ban lawsuit), so they have no basis to deny FFLs to trusts.
