I really should have set up a trust. My first NFA item and didnt know any better.
SBR Form 4 Individual Purchased- 07/24 Forms Sent- 07/30 Check Cashed- 08/05 Pending- 08/18 Approved- ? Called today and was told some time next month. I guess at least its improving. When I first filed they told me waits were 9 months and now they are down to 6. They did admit that individual forms are taking a lot longer. She said its the background checks as has already been discussed. At least they are admitting it now. At least it gave me time to spend entirely too much money on this build. |

Called today (1/16) for an update and received the same info as well. Too bad I jumped on that gearhog nfa trust deal after I submitted this one. This isn't even my first one and I'm still antsy like a mofo! Guess it gives me time to work on my patience.

Thanks for that. I have been looking around for getting a trust set up. I am ready to get the suppressor for this build but I agree that this is the last one I do as an individual. I think I am going to use nfalawyers. It's $125 but I do like the fact of having an attorney backing it just in case. They are also about 30 mins from me so win win. |

I called today and was told it had not made it to an examimer and to expect another 30-60 days . Congrats to you! This is making me even more impatient!
Congrats man, but yea this is really becoming ridiculous. Never before was there a difference between trust and individual submissions. Now all of a sudden individuals are taking more than double the time. There excuse is the fingerprints and signature confirmation......Then why 8+ months ago and beyond, was there no difference between the two?! Im a sept pending individual submission, so I watch this thread to see when you individual guys get approved......or continue to wait. Its a shame that us guys with chiefs that sign are forced to suffer now for some reason. |
