Eform 1 submitted on 7 August, received today, 28 August.
Hell. Yeah. Now I have to wait on my barrel crowning tools to get here.  And drop another eform 1. Hell, I should really do that PS90, while I'm at it.  |

Form 1 submitted 8.28.14 on a Colt M4A1 lower I just happened to stumble into. Let's see if we can get this puppy approved in under 19 days!
I really need to call it quits on the Form 1s, or at least get into a different platform. Can't wait for the Sig MPX to hit the stores!

If they can kick back form 1's in a few weeks, I don't see why they're still blocking 4's. The Efile system and wait times under a month shows what they're capable of. And knowing that, a year wait for a paper form 4 is insanity.

they are blocking 3 and 4's because there are countless more of them than f1's and it would crush the system again.
So until the slow ass gov red tape is gone though and a new web system is set up that can handle the volume of 3, 4 I would not hold my breath on them coming back. Just paper file and be done with it. By the time your paperwork gets to the top they will be down to a 4-5 month wait and thats alot sooner than them fixing the system lol |

if its a home made item then they have to enter you as a manufacturer usualy takes a couple of days, I had that when I did my form 1 suppressor,

The shorter the wait time, the more applications that will be submitted. This equals more $ for the ATF.
I submitted 2 Form 1s when I believed the wait time would be 4 months, and both came back in less than 40 days. Now guys are getting a 12 day turnaround. This will prompt metric shit-tons of new applicants to finally take the NFA plunge, which is a good thing. Shit, I'm thinking about sending a few more and had every intention of stopping at only 2 SBRs. |
