Secret security clearances are a dime a dozen. It is very easy to get one.

File a VAF with the NICS center. You can get an application on there site, and you will need Finger print cards also. I was alway getting the delay notice before last year I did a VAF and was issued a Unique Personal Identification Number. You put the UPIN on the 4473 instead of your SSN and tell the dealer you have a UPIN. I got proceed every time since then. The only downside is it takes about 150ish days for them to issue a UPIN. It worth it less of a headache
