You forgot to mention the population levels of those States, as well. Ya, I was in shock when I talked to a manufacturer last week and they told me to expect a year for processing.

She's certainly in the bottom third of processing time.

I thought examiners were no longer assigned by state? I'm in TX and my last F4 was approved by Lamberger and my F1 I received a week later was approved by Bowers. Both paper forms

this thread is all dicked up

I've have a few forms that weren't approved by the individuals listed and damn sure not in the timeframe listed.

Yes, I was curious about that too because the list of examiners above is almost triple what is on the ATF site.  Getting ready to move with the military again but as soon as I do, I want to get some NFA forms in.  Seems like I'm never one place long enough to be able to apply.  Hopefully I'll get a good one when I do.

Maybe that's one of the loaners?

Anybody recognize this signature? Got it back on my latest F1 and can't figure it out. Would like to input into NFATracker.

So I just got off the phone with NFA branch... I asked to speak with my examiner.  The employee asked me if I was sent a letter from an examiner, or if I had received a problem form?  I answered yes.  The employee then proceeded to ask me for the the name of my examiner.  I stated that I didn't have a name; the forms come back with simply a control number.  The employee asked me for that control number, but I didn't have it at that time.  The employee advised that she couldn't get me to the right examiner without my control number, as there was no way of knowing who my examiner was.    THIS IS WHERE I WAS STUMPED!  I told her that I was under the impression since 2012 sometime, examiners were assigned by region/state instead of alphabetic order?  She advised that no, that hasn't been the case now for about 6 months, and that it was FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!! Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case, then this whole thread is pretty much old news...  Apologies as this was already brought up somewhere else in here, but looks like for the most part everyone is still talking as if they are assigned an examiner...I just wanted to put this out to confirm.  So according to the NFA branch (Carrie) the ATF examiners are NO LONGER BY STATE and FIRST COME FIRST SERVE...hope I helped some confusion if any for future readers.

I just got an approval from someone not on this list or the NFA Tracker list!

Fastest approval time of any of mine so far.

Her name is Lauren Rinaudot.

Send the guy at NFA Tracker an email with a pic of the signature. I got him to add a couple last month that way. Just use the Contact Us tab at the top of that site.

I'm assuming that some of these aren't by state, because all my form 1's have been coming back signed by Frushour.

I'm in Northern Wisconsin, but near the Minnesota border and he is the Minnesota guy .  Anyone else have something like this?

Edited:  Never mind just read above, looks like "by state" is out the window.

I've had 6 Form 1 approvals in the last year and all but two have been signed by a different person...

My last 2 forms were examined by one girl and signed off by two different girls, none of the 3 names are on the list.

If not by state, why do some people seem to get such fast response, and others, so slow?
