So does this mean that if we have forms pending with a particular examiner (in my case Shipman and Farris), they will be reassigned on July 1 to the examiner handling our particular state (Frushour)?

Well, I had Farris this last time and I was looking forward to a new examiner. Not to happen... I'm moving to Alaska and she is assigned to them as well. Holy crap, NFA is going to be a long wait still.

In the grand scheme of things, whats three days? |

I had Jason Frushour for my last Form 1 and was pretty happy with the 70 day pending to approval.
Is Jones any faster? |

Awesome, my form 1 is pending as of June 22. My examiner is Farris though, FML.

ATF cashed my check 6/1/2011. |
All I know is that they lost my Form 1. I called for a status update and they couldn't find the application by serial number. Also, they said it'll take 4 months to get it approved AFTER it goes pedning. My last Form 1 only took 4 months total.

So does anyone know how fast Ms. Snook is? We're in Oregon and had Andrew Ashton (excellent) until he was promoted, and our last two forms were signed by Ms. Santamaria. (also excellent) |

Snook is the second slowest examiner at the ATF according to the timeline on NFA tracker I've had her for about 3 years now and each time it has taken 5+ months to get a form back.

Ugh, sounds like Farris is bad news. Really hope things go smooth with her since I amended my trust. Lamberger was great. Can't believe there are only 10 examiners

I want to know when they will actually take effect, not what the BATF's misguided "memorandum" states. As I said, I have two Form 4s pending in July with SantaMaria and a Form 1 pending in August with Sara Jones...neither of which is the assigned examiner for Florida. Or is it July 1, 2012? Are they re-assigning forms that have previously went pending with other examiners or are the examiners finishing off the forms they currently have? I have seen situations where, after calling and finding out he has Examiner Snook, the forms came back signed from Lamberger (who is assigned to Florida). I have also seen forms go pending (not mine) in September that do not follow their assignments either. So again, when will this actually take effect? |

It appears Mr. Clutter (head of the NFA Branch?) has had to step in and get some of his paperwork moving? Thank you Mr. Clutter Not too impressed with Mr. Frushour so far though. Hopefully it was something legitimate that kept him away from approving my Form 4. Anyone else know anything? I know these guys have recently had a surge in their work load, but really they should be hiring on more examiners, not letting them go. |

I finally received the first Form 4 that got submitted after July 1st of 2011 back yesterday. I filled out the form 5/24, it was sent in by the customer 6/20, check cashed 7/20 and it was approved 1/18/2012.
I hope there is a flood of them starting now. I hope. |

I just had two form 4's for the same guy that I signed 11/16/11 and sent in shortly after that and then approved 4/20/12 and received back 4/26/12. WHat is weird is that there are forms that were sent in earlier that are not back yet.
