I submitted my first eFile Form 1 on 06/04 and when I log in to see my account, there's no indication of really anything different then when I initially submitted the form. Nothing stating "payment received", though the CC went through on 06/04. Am I missing some area on the site where that's visible? |

1. NFA Item: SBR
2. Form Type: 'e'Form 1 3. Transferee Type: individual trust 4. Form Submitted: 15 MARCH 2015 5. CRedit Card charged: immediately 6. Pending Date: 15 MARCH 2015 (I assume) 7. DISAPPROVED: 16 JUNE 2015 I submitted a new form at ~2100 hrs. with corrected information, paid another $200 & emailed Ted Clutter immediately after I did so with old & new permit/control #'s. Went to bed and woke up to find an email from the ATF updating my status to APPROVED. The email was time stamped 6/16/2015 @2317 hours. Not too shabby, Mr. Clutter!) 8. Approved Date: 16 JUNE 2015 9. Forms Received: 16 JUNE 2015 (in email) FYI: If anyone else makes a mistake when they submit their paperwork, don't despair. Just sit tight and wait for the application to be DISAPPROVED. Don't delete the form with the error(s) in it after it's been submitted, otherwise you'll lose your place in line. You can't make corrections to your application once it's been submitted, but if you delete it, you'll lose your place in the ATF's queue. So, just sit tight and wait for notification that you've been DISAPPROVED. Once you get notified that you've been DISAPPROVED, log into ATF eforms and complete a whole new application; CORRECTLY the 2nd time around. Then, email [email protected] with your original permit/control# and your fresh permit/control# and request that he update your application to reflect the corrections that you made in accordance with ATF's requirements. You won't have to wait another 90+ days for your application to be reviewed. He'll likely get your approved rather quickly. I was approved in under three hours after submitting a corrected form and emailing him with the original and new permit/control #'s. I received my APPROVED form back in under three hours, which, I'll admit is something of a miracle, at least to me. I was panicking thinking I'd have to wait another 90+days to get approved on my new application. I do believe, however that my refund from my original application might take another 90+ days to be processed, but I can live with that since my stamp is in my hand. |

From what I've read on Arfcom, the most common ones, I guess.
1st: I used my real name instead of my trust name in box 3b (eg. spirit-of-76 versus spirit-of-76 revocable living trust). Box 8 is where your real name should appear and it WILL automatically when you digitally sign your Form-1 on the website. 2nd: I put in the cartridge caliber rather than the barrel caliber in box 4c (eg. 5.56x45 rather than the correct 5.56). 3rd: In another Form-1 I put an incorrect model number in box 4d (eg. AR-15 rather than the correct LOW15). 4th: I forgot to include the reason for making a firearm in box 4i (eg. personal collection, or some other non-humorous, valid reason) |
