Looking for some help. Just picked up a rolling block carbine. The carbine will not go to half / full cock. It will only go to full cock if the block is pushed back.

Any tips / suggestions would be great.

I don't think it is supposed to do that.  Are you saying that if you slightly open the action block, then you can cock it?  Again...it is not supposed to do that.

Have you disassembled it to check for burs, cracks, etc?  The dish in the lower back of the action block should prevent the hammer from cocking unless the block is fully forward, and similarly the block should not be able to move at all if the hammer is even a little cocked (IIRC).
