Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - antique shop find..a little help here?

I bought a box of Lyman round ball casting items...included in the box was a Flint  lock and trigger group marked Dean Mitton...I see references  to Dean Mitton...but I'm not finding anything that tells me if the lock is any good....and whether or not I should go ahead and build a flinter around this stuff.

Dean Mitton took over Russ Hamms business in the 80s. Hamm was in Ft Pierce Florida. Mitton  wait in Indiana. Always heard they were good locks, never had one myself
