I did the frame only. I well silver plate the trigger guard some day. I have one of those electroless nickle plating kits. I almost have enough parts to do to make the setup worth while. I'm a cheap bastard and hate to waste the chemicals.

Since this thread started, I have gone from 2 to 5 black powder guns. I must be having fun?

Anyway, I sold an AR last week and had some money, and it doesn't help that Cabela's keeps putting revolvers on sale with little or no shipping charges.

I won't get a chance to shoot these until next week..

I ain't here for a long time. I'm here for a good time.

Aside from the heft, if you shoot heavy loads the loading arm will loosen or drop locking the gun up and requiring a second hand to reset and fire.

The later dragons addressed this issue as well as the overall weight.

So true...lol. I haven't fired my Walker in 20 years, I was about 19 years old when I got it and the first thing I noticed was everyone at the range, I mean like 50 people would stop and watch when I shot it. It was pretty cool to be 19 and have the baddest gun at the range.
