I've been hunting for a nice M39 for a while now without any luck.
now that money is burning a hole in my pocket 
there is a big gun show coming up in the cities in September where I think I would have a good chance of finding one. but I just came across a great deal on a legit PU 91/30 sniper with numbers matching scope I am very tempted... |

Just make sure that PU is actually legit and not a repro. What kind of deal on it? Maybe you can tell me where it is and I can snag a third.

Seems legit. 1944 izzy Has the sniper ssn on the side of the receiver and matches the scope. Stock cutout looks original. Wants $300 but there is a crack in the wrist of the stock. Looks repairable, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings to swap another stock onto it. |

At that price especially, I'd be all over that PU.
I like my M39, but if it came down to getting rid of my M39 or my PU, the PU stays. |

$300 is way cheap for a PU. Even if it started as one of the scope less samco Yugo reworks.

Buy the PU now. You can get the M39 later.
Legit PUs are pretty damn accurate rifles. |

I would buy the sniper and get a M-39 , The sniper is a deal at $300 even if it needs work . My M-39 holds its own with my snipers.
