Hi picking up an Turkish 1893/30 Mauser from a friend, as far as I am aware they are all antuques and do not require an ffl to transfer but not 100% sure. Thanks

Yes, they are all antiques under federal law.  The model 1893 was only made for a few years in the mid 1890's.

Federal law, but make sure you know and follow CA law as it is much more repressive than federal law in most ways when it comes to firearms...
