As we all know, standard 45 ACP ammo is too hot for safe use in the big Webley, and if you didn't know it, you should.

So here is my question...

Would this Cowboy Action Shooting 45 ACP be safe in a Mk. VI that had a cut cylinder for 454 ACP?

This is what I have shot in mine. So far no issues. It's pretty mild. YMMV.

The typical WWII era Webley Mark VI load was a 265gr projectile going ~600 fps so a 230gr at 675fps sounds like a reasonable substitution that would not damage your Webley.

On a related note I would love to have an unshaved Webley VI
