Part number 50 on this diagram. Went to clean it and it hit me in the face. It is apparently made of unubtainium, as no one seems to have it in stock on any of the usual parts sites. |

It looks like it would be simple to hack out a replacement with a lathe and some patience.

Find a chick and have her look for it. They generally are good at finding small metal objects. As my wife puts it, "it's a skill you learn out of necessity because stepping on earrings you dropped and never found isn't pleasant."

Borrow some panty-hose from your girlfriend. Put one leg over, and slightly "inside", your Shop-Vac nozzle.
Vacuum the entire area. The little part will be in the panty-hose with lots of dust... Barring that, I have found parts stuck to my shoelace...hours later and miles away. |
