Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - New to me Mosin 1928? Tula

So I puchased a Mosin it arrive pd in the mail and I start to unpack it and discover it is dated 192 and nothing else.  I broke it down to check the tang and it is a 2 number "28" with and upside down Tula hammer.  Would we then call this a 1928?

Not uber uncommon, just missed getting the 8 hand stamped....Must have been Vodka Payday.....

HA!  I was actually thinking the same thing.  The serial numbers are all out of line and look like he drug the stamp across
