In your own opinion,  What is the best surplus 7.62x25 pistol and why?
Right now I have 2
1) Romania TT-C
2) cz-52.

I personally like my TT better. It has a looser chamber so feeds more reliable then my cz. It is also for me more accurate then the cz52.

Yugo M57 Tok hands down.

Longer comfortable grip, functional added safety.

I have a Yugo M57 and I've shot a friends CZ 52.  I like my Yugo better.

M57's are a little harder to find magazines for than regular Tok's; although not as bad as it used to be, I think.

what is so different about the Yugo M57? over my Romanian tt-C?

is the CZ52 that bad of a handgun?

Toks > CZ52 IMO

M57 top among toks

Why? After reading write-ups about the thin spot on the 52 chambers I soured on them. I like the looks better on the Tok too. Why the M57? Well made and one extra round of capacity

I sold my Tokarev and kept my CZ-52 . The CZ is fun to shoot and boringly reliable .  If you read enough you find there is a small group that has some reason to hate every gun made .  My CZ at this point has lasted 50 years . You would think the faults have worked themselves out

I like my Romanian TT pistol, shoots straight never a hicup

I wish I could carry my Tokarev with one in the pipe. I feel it would make a good carry gun if it had a modern safety.

Yes, I know M57s exist. They're not imported anymore. Plus I like the short grip.

I prefer the regular tokarevs over the bigger yugo one.

I have a cz 52, rom tok and a yugo tok. All very nice condition. Never shoot the yugo or cz. Shoot the romanian a ton.

I own both an M57 and a CZ-52. From a shooter's perspective, the Tok is better, but I like them both as a collector.

if you put a notch in the mags you can normally use M57 and CZ mags together depending on the floorplate.

As long as it latches in the CZ52 and you have the notch for the side mag release on the yugo.

It's a flawed design, not drop safe, and prone to accidental discharge, especially as it gets older and worn out.  There has been at least one death due to that.
