I picked-up this Soviet refub 1941 Tula SVT-40 today in a trade.....I figure I have about $650.00 in it. Nothing really special about it other than it's in pretty good shape for a refurb....'43 Tula AVT stock. Serial 742. Excellent bore. Grooved receiver. Early brake.

I would have preferred a SA marked example but for near half what they are selling for these days I figured I'd better jump on it. At least all the visible parts are Tula marked.

LOL....I finally have a rifle to go with a spare mag I found years ago.

Looks good, it will be a good shooter especially with the beefier AVT stock.

I took my 41 Tula SVT to the range today, they are a blast to shoot.

I just broke it down for a detail cleaning.....Sigh, the previous owner kept it spotless. Nothing to really clean.

Literally. Not many guns turn heads on the range like an SVT. "Loud" is an understatement.

Good score, OP.

If you can find a sucker to buy it, you could use the proceeds to buy a Garand.

Comrade Stalin's Garand best Garand. Op-rod no bend like Imperialist Grand, it strong like ox.

BTW.....How much are they in milk bag dollars now that the Hoserland distributor supply has dried-up?
