Good deal in today's market.

Anyone else remember when these were ~$75 from AIM about 8 yrs ago. Wished I had bought one more then.

You did fine, most of us got ours for $80 shipped to our door back in the day but that will probably never happen again.  Fun little gun that will shoot quite a few different .32 caliber rounds as long as they fit.

One of the few revolvers you could actually suppress.

Which .32 cal fits?   32 Cal S&W Long

Been a while since I've seen one that inexpensive. I paid a little less than that for mine, a few years ago and they dried up right after I bought it.

In today's market, I think you did great

There is modern 7.62 Nagant ammo available (PPU) from Cabellas and other sources.

Not sure what folks are getting for accuracy and power with the 32 long ammo. I suspect the actual Nagant ammo could be more satisfactory

Expect any older surplus type ammo to be corrosive and take proper cleaning steps if you go that direction

Thank you.

32 S&W long will fire, but the cases are likely to bulge and split.  Probably not too dangerous considering that these revolvers are built like tanks, but don't expect to reload the empties.  That said, someone somewhere probably does.

You can still get Russian surplus or new PPU ammo.  somewhere in the .25 - .30 cents a round. In today's market you did ok.

.32 h&r mag will also fit and fire as well, just keep in mind with all "non nagant" cartridges you fire it will spit out the gap since it is so much wider than standard revolvers.

I'm not sure .32 H&R Mag is safe to fire in an 1895 Nagant revolver unless it is a reduced power load...

I sure wouldn't try it.  I've got a bunch of the PPU 7.62 Nagant ammo and dies to reload it.  It was hard finding the right crimp die to do the cases properly.

Nice...  I like Tokarevs.  The 7.62x25 Tokarev cartridge is really zippy.  Despite a somewhat odd appearance due to the grip angle I actually like the ergonomics of the TT33 and TTC better than the Czech CZ-52.  I have a couple Romanian Tokarevs and a couple of Yugo M57s (slightly longer grip and a one shot larger mag).  They are nice but in my opinion the really sweet ones are the Polish Tokarevs.  I've come to believe that all those Polish jokes were really unfair.  The Polish M44 Mosin Nagants and their Tokarevs have some of the best finishes and the wood on all the Radom (circle-11) made M44s I've seen is beautiful, almost like birds eye maple.  The Radom P-64 Pistol is nice also, and it is a great addition to a Combloc C&R collection.  They have pretty stiff double action trigger pulls but are otherwise a sturdy and reliable little pistol.  9x18 Mak cartridge for those.

I bought three Nagants on a whim back when they were $95 shipped. I even bought 1k of Privi ammo for them. Haven't fired the first round yet. I keep joking about putting a can on one for wet work.

I use a .30 carbine bullet seating die for seating and crimping with the guts flipped and screwed I think all the way in if memory is correct. It puts on a factory like crimp.

OK price in today's market.

I remember I paid $50 for one years ago at a local Arfcom swap meet with two boxes of cartridges......It took two men and a boy to pull the trigger. In SA it pegged-out my trigger-pull gauge so I went to a poultry scale...The trigger broke at 24 pounds.

I got a M38 for $60.00 there too.......Those were the days.

I have been bit by the bug.

I now have a Arisaka 99 and a Mosin 38 purchase(s) in the works.

Now I just need to find a decently priced K98 with good eagle markings.

The only one who's probably capable of that is 1srelluc. You and I (I'm in the market too, along with a P38, Garand, and Springfield 1903a3) will most likely be paying an arm and a leg.

I missed out on a really nice matching byf 43 P-38 the other day, it had a '41 leather hard shell holster and two WaA135 mags.....It was not all that cheap at $685.00 but for someone just wanting a nice complete example it was a "one and done" type of deal. Hell there was $300.00 worth of holster and extra mag someone would have to piece together.

The same guy bought a VZ-24 sniper (with bases, no scope or claw mounts) for $450.00.

I had to placate myself with the SVT-40 the shop bought from the guy that brought in the P-38 and VZ. Thank goodness the guy that bought the other two did not see it as his pockets are a hell of a lot deeper than mine.

Damn that sucks about the P38. The closest I came to buying a very nice matching P38 was several years ago at the funshow for either $675-700 (can't remember the factory). I went in corner and messed around on my phone for 15 mins to make sure it was a good deal. Came back to purchase and it was gone Haven't had another opportunity like that come along. Yet...

I would love to pick up an SVT-40 one of these days. Hopefully you got a nice deal on it.
