I found this one at a yard sale this morning. Run of the mill late WW-2 refurb I guess.

RA 12-42 barrel date. Serial 3147843.

The RA-P (Raritan Arsenal) is struck on the right side of the scant stock. Is that usual for them? I thought it should be on the left side. There is a P (or maybe a B) struck forward of the trigger guard. S marked under the cut-off. That's it for stock markings.

All parts that are marked are marked Remington, bolt, sights, . The stacking hook and the rear sling swivel base are stamped. Front band is R marked. Rear band is unmarked other than the directional U.

It came with a Boyt 1944 sling, nickel oiler, and front sight cover.

If it is "B" marked on the floorplate, I believe that is/was something the Greeks did when they pinned the floorplates on.

The floor plate is unmarked and it's not pinned. The marking is on the stock.

The stamping on the right side is not uncommon. My DCM M1 is that way.

That makes some sense. I read where Raritan Arsenal worked closely with DCM back in the day.
