I have one exactly like this one in this auction. Mine appears to be even nicer. I'm just wondering how much it is worth these days. I'm betting the one in this auction is over priced by a lot. I paid $150 10 years ago for it. Thanks for any input:

Don't know the value but does yours still have the bayonet? I think you did well with that $150 regardless.

Yes it has the bayonet. All numbers match and I think it was unfired too.

Mine is every bit as nice and cleaner on the buttplate . I think calling a 60+ year old gun that you have only owned for a year or 2 unfired is a guess at best . It takes quite a few rounds before a level of wear shows that makes it look used . OTH if he gets that I think mine will be gone

I don't see a Polish M44 which had the bayo ground off stateside going for that much. Even on GunBroker.

With everything intact, they sell for about 300-400 in like new shape.

Unless prices have come down, I've seen mint Polish M44s go for $500-$600.  I have  really nice unfired one, paid $370 for it and was very happy with that price.

High prices for original and unmolested.

Almost a grand for one that's been heavily altered?

Were drugs legalized in Texas like in Colorado?

Back in 1988 I bought a NIB surplused M44 Polish dated 1953 at Frankonia Jgd. in Munich, West Germany.  Cost like 188DM without the VAT (about $88).  Started reloading for it back then too as ammo wasn't too common.  Sold it here fall of 2013 for about $350 IIRC to fund my MIL medical bills.

$350 -$400, for a unmolested version may sell.  But the one on gunbroker lost a lot of value when Bubba ground off the bayonet lug. For a collector it would not be a good deal even at $300
