I want a sniper and I know AIM has them.

Anyone bought one from them?

Better prices or better rifles around?

Are they all gone after these are?

I waited a few weeks too long and missed out on the AIM $550/shipped deal.  Classic does have them for a little cheaper and they are supposedly from the same shipment, but I trust AIM and will give them my business.  Supposedly this is it for the Snipers, but who really knows.

Get it.

I bought one a few months ago, and really like it.

Got it from AIM.

Fast shipping.  The rifle was in great shape - no grease, good bore, all matching, nice stock.

Shoots great - 1.5 inch group at 100 yards - 4 of 5 with a flyer.  Either from me getting tired, or I've heard the Mosin's will have one flyer per that many rounds.

You may be able to save a few pennies someplace else, but with AIM you get fast shipping, good items, and a company that stands behind their products.

Order up.  Oh, and go ahead and buy the crate of ammo.  You'll need it.

AIM all the way.
Their first batch of rifles came in last June and they are still here.
Near new bores and cartouched WWII wood on every rifle I ordered.
2 of 7 came with lens caps - so if you get one call it a bonus.
Very interesting patterns/trends with these rifles to include serial number blocks and refurb techniques.
A cool study if you enjoy getting into the weeds in research.
Not your typical nasty refurbs.

Picked mine up from AIM a few weeks ago, very very happy with what I received.

I just picked mine up from the local shop Friday, ordered it New Years eve when I was half drunk and was a very good decision(how often do you hear that?). Got it for $550 and is a beautiful rifle minus the billboard import marks on the receiver. Had to clean off a little cosmoline from the scope, but besides that it was good to go. Nice sharp rifling(though a little dark), all matching with electopenciled scope mount, beautiful stock with nice proof marks, 1943 dated.. I'll post some pictures tomorrow when im back in town. I think it's still worth it for the $600 theyre at now.

Excuse the horrible lighting, Spax's pictures blow mine out of the water;

Should be a great shooter though.

I've been debating if I should get one for about the past month. I think I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger.

Don't wait too long... eventually, they will be gone.

Look at the Nagant revolvers. I'm glad I got mine after Sandy Hook... for $110 (handpicked). I got a PU sniper, as well.

My pictures aren't terrific, either, but they'll give you a general idea.

I'm really happy with the rifle I got. it was obviously well cared for and it seems to have been re-worked by workers who put more heart into it than the guys who were doing the standard 91/30s.

I am happy with mine. With less than 100 in stock at Aim, I may get another.

Damnit, whenever AIM puts the swiss 96/11s up I might have to get one of these too.

An other option is to order the bent bolt mosins from SAMCO.  Just received one, payed $269 + shipping.

I'm pretty sure these samco ones a legit snipers.  It has what appears to be a scope serial number on the barrel and the trigger breaks at 3.5 lbs (compared to the 6.5 lbs my standard 91/30 pulls at).

I ordered a repo pu mount with split 1-inch rings so I can use a modern scope with it.

I bought a few from the initial imports from Molot in 2012, got one 1944 Izhevsk and one 1943 Izhevsk. I had a Tula too but it had a bad bore, so I sold it. Both the Izhevsks are very nice, and the '43 has a rare alloy tube Krasnogorsk PU scope.
