So I know nothing about these guns. Keep putting off getting one when the were 100$ so I finally got one before they're gone. It's a neat little gun

This thing has proof marks everywhere.

Import mark is under the barrel and can hardly be seen.

Frame and cylinder numbers match but not the trigger guard

Was wondering about the face of the barrel. It's not really round. Is this normal?

Did I get a turd? (Read somewhere that 1918,19,20 weren't good)

Anything you guys can tell me about it?

Sorry for the crappy pics

The barrel almost looks re-crowned, and left in the white.

Thanks for the pics BTW.  Looking forward to the range report!

since they seem to be none matching....would be interesting to pick one up just to thread it and throw a silencer on it :-)

I thought they had all dried up after the last batch.  Sub $200 is good but
I'm super bummed to hear they aren't numbers matching

1919 was a very volatile year for Russia, arms production slowed heavily as evidenced with Mosin Nagants, so I think you did good on the one you received. Lots of history.

This is a 1918 dated Tula Nagant like yours, notice how it says "Peter the Great" below Tula. Yours doesn't because the Soviets removed all reference to the Czars when they seized power.

Haven't stripped mine yet. The cylinder matches but not the number on the trigger guard

Very cool. I love the historical nuances that are present with the Russian C&Rs.

Thanks. I'll take the gamble on the numbers. I'm just stoked about early dates and not a billboard import mark. I'll post pictures when they come in.

Remove the side plate.  There will be an SN stamped on the inside.  If there is a number that is marked out and a new one stamped on it that matches the other SNs, then the plate is not original to the frame.  If there is only one number and it matches the frame's numbers, then it is much more than likely original to the pistol.

Almost guaranteed that the cylinder is not original even though it will likely have a matching SN on it.

The Nagant is the poster child for C&R guns.  Clunky, odd load, and produced in the millions.  Gotta love it.

I got mine last week, and it is a 1915 Peter the Great. The serials match on the frame, cylinder, and trigger guard. It looks great.

You welcome.  I just receive two more 1926 CCCP's today and fired off another order for a 1913, 1914, and 1923 tonight.  I'm hoping the "Peter the Great" marks aren't scrubbed.

Nice setup with the suppressor.

How much did that run to get setup?

How does it affect the balance of the pistol?

Thanks, the threading was $140 and it doesn't really affect the balance of it since the suppressor is very light.

Received mine today. Anyone know what the faint markings above the roll mark mean? Thanks.
