I picked this one up yesterday. 1931 vintage. I gave $150.00 for it. The barrel was pretty rusty on the outside with some minor pitting. I had to drill-out the fore-stock bolts. Lots of sweat equinity in this one.

The main thing was the bore and rear sight worked fine.

I would love to have that rifle. You must let us know how it shoots.

Dang, for $150 I would have been all over that even if the bore was rusty.  You can always sleeve a bad bore.

There a pitted-up bore but otherwise OK Vickers (Martini action) match rifle there. I was thinking of looking into what it would cost to reline it.

I know I could get the rifle cheap but after the cuss-fest I had with getting the BSA up to snuff I'm going to cool my jets for a while.

Brownells sells Redman liners and drill bits.  The bit is the big cost - 8mm turned down to a .221 pilot.  And you need to braze an extension onto it.  Then chamber reamers.

If you are looking at doing more than one, it's worth it.  I've had a scheme to re-line shot out AR barrels to .22 for dedicated builds.  But I wouldn't be opposed to starting on an older action.
