Well, i bought a well used looking 91/30, and i have looked everywhere for a well used bayonet to match it.  Seems all of the bayonets out there were all refurbed, and re-blued or something  Did anyone ever import non-refurbed 91/30 bayo's??

Hell, I might start e-mailing places just to see if they have one that fell off the pile into a corner somewhere

Anyone ever seen a 91/30 bayonet that was pitted, no finish left, just plain tired looking?

MODS this is not a WTB ad, I have those posted in various forums, just wanting to know if anyone has ever seen one of these apparent rare birds.

I didn't think it would be hard to find either, but then I thought about it, and I never have seen a non refurbed one either

Nope. But maybe you could make it look used. Leave it outside

There are a couple on eBay, from Latvia/Bulgaria/etc. Field finds, mostly.

This seems easy to do if you wanted one

My brother bayoneted an opossum out of a low branch of an apple tree after I him him with a 12 ga.  Does that count?  (both of us were 100% sober at the time)

drive it in the ground in your yard. It won't pit as bad, and will give you the look you want.

Throw it down the driveway?

This.

And it's hunting season. Take it with put and perferate your deer a few times. Better to do it after you've dressed it.

Bury one in a cow patty.

It will antique it quite well.

Also a great way to simulate patina.

I've been thinking about it. Maybe dragging it behind your lawn mower would make it look used. Would probably wear the bluing down and put some dings in it.
