This was in a lot of parts I picked up......I can't, for the life of me, figure out what it's for.......
any ideas?????

Almost looks like a Krag upper handguard blank.
There's one on GB if you want to look, search Krag stock |

Krag or 1903 is my guess.

It does kinda look like a Krag blank now that you mention it.....wish they had a pic of the underside....

Looks a lot like a No4 handguard without the metal.
