Check cheaper than dirt (I know, I know) but they have surplus .303 ammo on strippers or in bulk. Greek and UK varieties. It looks to be around 40 to 42 cents shipped I think. Haven't seen .303 in awhile just throwing a heads up to it.

Wow, haven't seen surplus 303 in ages. Not bad money depending of its reliability. For some reason 303 doesn't seem to age as well as other calibers.
Liberty Tree Collectors has FN produced .303 British surplus in stock as well....303
EDIT: Probably not the greatest deal being over $1 per round. |
I don't own an enfield because of ammo price but is this stuff worth picking up?
The greek ammos is a steal for around .40 cents a round with clips "brass cased, boxer primed, non-corrosive, and is reloadable" the clips alone run a dollar apiece thanks for the heads up.

Picked up a case on strippers. Non corrosive and the clips is a great deal IMO. Wish I could buy more than one case right now.

Funny I was just looking on ebay before this to pick up some enfield stripper clips there going for about 1 dollar apiece. So for a 450/5=90 clips that is a pretty good deal with the ammo, suprised cheaper than dirt didnt rape us on the price if they could have. |
Thanks for the info, I just ordered a 500 round case, I hope it looks as good as it does in the pics and for .40 cents a round you can't beat it. Hell, I haven't seen surplus .303 in many years in any form.
As much as I hate those guys you are not going to find better .303 surplus, especially for that price. I was down to a few hundred rounds of the old S&B ball ammo in the light blue boxes and another 150 rounds of corrosive British ball ammo. If they still have any next month I will have to get another case of the ammo on strippers.
I have to call them and see if they'll ship to my FFL in communist NY. I kind of remember hearing that they won't ship to NY. That would suck cuz my Bren is HUNGRY!!!!!
They also have Greek HXP .30-06 for cheaper than the CMP. Just under 50 cents per round. Available in boxes or loaded in enbloc clips.
I snagged a case of the HXP .303 on clips and a case of the HXP .30-06 on clips. Quoted:

HXP .303 is noncorrosive, and it's boxer primed for easy reloading. (It's some of the only Boxer primed .303 surplus.) But British surplus is corrosive and Berdan primed. Get the HXP on clips. It's the best deal. |

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for posting this.
I can not believe that I now have some cases of Mark 7 Radway Green heading to me!!!! I never thought I would ever see Mark 7 Radway again It is sold out now.... |
Just ordered a 500rd case.
ETA: I just ordered the last 500rd case! Holy Crap!
I saw it on a Facebook curio and relic page. I don't even own an enfield but I now own 450 .303 rounds. Haha. I hope for re all that Greek is non corrosive because then shooting It much more fun popping 20 or 30 rounds off and not cleaning immediately.

Ordered two cases of clipped .303 last night...checked the thread on the CMP forum tonight and saw the M2, the clipped cases were gone but did snag two cases of the loose stuff.
Reading the internet is getting expensive. Would've kicked myself in the ding-ding if I let this opportunity go by without getting some fodder for the Garand and the flame thrower jungle carbine. |
saw the thread over on gunboards and bought a case of each, stripper and non stripper,
thought this stuff was gone for good |
What's so good about the radway green ammo, it was gone like 1 hour? My dad has a whole cloth belt of RG and some loose stuff.
So this thread cost me about 2 hours of my time shopping on CTD. I passed on the loose .30-06 but grabbed some Garand clips, .303 case on strippers, some sr 1911 mags, AR mags (10 and 20), pocket carry holsters, re-loaders and some other stuff.
Pain in the ass making sure it comes from one or two warehouses... |
Just ordered 2 cases. This is a great deal, if I get them as advertised.
What the hell, I ordered another case today on the clips, might as well get it while I can. That is also a good price on the 30-06 HXP.
Picked up a case of loose and strippers. I need to get a die set.
Anyone get a shipment delivered yet for a little truth in advertising report?
Got my tracking numbers last night. I've never had any .303 surplus of any type, but have shot lots of HXP through my Garands. Good ammo. Pretty excited to see this stuff!
Mine was delivered yesterday, haven't broken into it yet. Will look at it when I get home and post if it hasn't been reviewed yet. |
Sure wish I could get in on this, but CTD doesn't ship ammo to CT. Thanks again Democrats!
I bought the day this hit the net, my order just says "on hold" :(
My HXP .303 was bright and shiny, and the clips were nice and clean too. But my HXP .30-06 was dirtier, with some corrosion spots on the brass, and the clips have patches of rust on them. Still a good deal, and very shootable, but I'm going to have to clean the .30-06 up a bit.
Don't underestimate the value of the Enfield clips. If they're worth $1 each (and they're selling on ebay for at least twice that much), then that knocks 20 cents off each round of ammo, making the real price of the ammo 20 cents a round. If the clips are worth $2 each, then the ammo is free!
It's a no-brainer to order this ammo with the clips, whether you need them or not. |

This seems to be what I'm reading from everyone who is posting reports. I gambled and loaded up because I had no surplus, the price was right, and my experience with HXP, at least in 30.06, has always been positive. Has there been any reliable report on where this ammo came from? I've heard people speculate that it was Canadian because they very recently retired their Enfields, but that wouldn't explain the 30.06 that appeared at the same time. Could it actually have come from Greece? |

Could it actually have come from Greece? View Quote Talking to somebody in the firearm business this weekend, and he made a comment about 'an assload of .303 had just hit the market'. I said that I'd ordered a case, that it was on strippers, and he said that was a really good price for what we're getting. I'll have to give him a shout, and see if he knows where it came from. |
I know sellers are mostly tight-lipped about these things, but it would be cool if you could find anything out.
Meh, maybe I'm in the minority in caring where it came from, but I find that stuff interesting. None of the other ammo sellers I use have any, and when asked if he'd be getting some, the AIM rep wrote back, "I wish" in their Arfcom industry forum. Don't know if that is definitive, but CTD might have been the only one to get their hands on any. Should be interesting to see what pans out over the next month or two. I too have seen some guys are already trying to flip it on GB. |
