Is there a dependable source for 'real' made for the government M1/M2 30 rd. magazines, or are these things of the past?
U.S or German would be good.

I wouldn't waste your time with 30rd magazines. Even the real deal USGI ones (which are commonly faked and sometimes difficult to identify anyway) are notoriously flaky.

Stick with 15rd magazines.

My original 30's always eject the last unfired round out the top for some reason during firing. Stick with the 15 rd mags as stated.

The Korean ones work well in my limited experience

Authentic USGI 30 rd mags work perfectly . If someone  is having trouble with a 30 rd mag more than likely its a fake. Personally I see no reason for using one unless you have a M2 carbine

No vendor has 30 or 15 rd mags  that I know of. As far as 30 rd mags you need to educate yourself as there are many fakes. They are not easy to tell from originals.
Put a want to buy add in forums is your best bet

I see lots of genuine WW2 mags, still in the greased paper wrapper, here in the UK & Europe

Average last time I looked was well under $20 per, and they come from US GI WW2 dated crates
