Suitable only for bolt action rifles.  Do not shoot in any semi auto!

Listen to this man. Save the Turk 8mm for the bolt guns, and hold on tight, because it's seriously stout stuff.

40's Turk 8mm will exceed 3000fps out of a long rifle (like a Turk Mauser), a little less in a short rifle like a K98.

Thanks everyone.  Traded for a sporterized czech. Will rebarrel and sell this ammo local. Only 100 rounds. Hoping it was rare and or collectable. Not so much.

nope, I used to get it for 7$ a bandoleer in 2005

When this stuff first came out, it cost $3.00/bandoleer and you could shoot your Mauser cheaper than you could shoot a 22.  As mentioned above pretty stout stuff.  Not for use in semi autos.

A little more on shooting this in semi autos.  DO NOT DO IT.  People who tried to shoot it in their rare and expensive Egyptian Hakim rifles often discovered that the Turkish ammunition destroyed them, or at least damaged them.

My Turk Mausers love it.  My shoulder does not love it.  But it is surprisingly accurate.  With the exception, oddly, of the 1938 headstamped ammunition.

Watch out for cracked necks on the cases.

I bought tons of this stuff from ammunitionstore.com before they closed.  I'm still sitting on thousands of rounds of it.  What was interesting was that different years would have different bandoleers, and stripper clips.  I have some with single piece stripper clips and others with really nice, reusable 2 pieces spring-style strippers.
