Some subtle differences in the color of the French walnut stock suggest maybe somebody has spent some time ~improving~ the stock finish. Its subtle enough that I'd have to see it in person to be sure. Otherwise its a very nice looking Swede.

I've had the fever 47 years...

I have this nice tiger-striped 1902 CG.

ETA: Is it blasphemy to admit I've never fired it?

Hey, I liked what you did with it, and since I have one out back, I figured I'd go with it!

Its funny how the wheel turns.. early on before i knew anything about cameras;  I remember looking at your pictures of enfields and thinking : wow, i wish i could take them that good.

Now to think that volk is getting inspiration from my pictures. Great stuff.

I thought this is probably the case because the Finish is "Perfect" on a 108 year old rifle.

I'm more of a shooter/collector than the other way and this is plenty collectible to me.

Notes: Non matching Rear sight and non matching cleaning rod. Maybe a few spots with no #'s. Still not disappointed

Mauser Collection: Swede m1896, German RC K98, Brazilian 1908, Turkish 1938/K.Kale, Yugo m48

There's my Swedes.  1913 and 1920.  Both are sweet shooters!

Great looking rifles. Noticeable by absence are those from a frequent contributor -  Dutch. That collection would be memorable if photographed.

Does anyone have the Luxembourg m/96?

My 1900 Mauser was a very early 1900 production 369XX
1899- 20378-35046
1900- 35480-57490

apparently the last 1000 of 1900 were Luxembourg Rifles marked with L before serial number

just curious since they are hard to find, but as always people on here have a lot of interesting finds.

Saw an 1895 carbine @ the big pawnshop in Garland off I-30 yesterday.  Looks like it has a longer bbl & a different front sight for import?

I have a 96/38, it was the first rifle I ever shot in competition with.

Pic later.

Always wanted one of those beautiful 94 Carbines, but prices these days will keep me out of the market.
