I picked this one up in 2010 while up in PA. visiting a frend. We took half a day to do some gun hunting and we both ended up with a Turk.
This one is a reworked WWI German Gew 98. It has a nice Walnut stock and no cracks.

The crest is very nice, but if you look close you can still see a little of the German crest that was not completly scrubed off.

It is non matching, like most Turks.

I reall like this rifle.
Here is a pic of the carving on the buttstock. Looks like it was still in use in 1966.
