Hi there guys and thanks for all the help with my Mauser 96. Here is the second Rifle I got in my trade a Type 38 Arisaka. It looks like it has seen better days but I bet if it could talk it would have a lot to say. The bore is in nice condition surprisingly and has been counter-bored about a half inch. The stock is full of dings and some little Konji characters strewn throughout. The mums been struck and I believe the bolt matches the receiver but its hard to tell. The bolt itself is a bit rough, a little voice inside my head tells me to polish it but I restrain myself. Or should I

Anymore characters on the stock?

Couple small ones on the bottom. Shes a mutt bolt does not match and the stock is different as well. What do you guys think should I cold blue the bolt or just buy a dust cover to throw over it and call it a day? Cleaned her up really good today, barrel looks really good now think it will be a fine shooter.

Just shoot it and enjoy it, don't do anything to the bolt.
