THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Several years ago I bought some 30-06 from a guy. A mixed bag of commerical and surplus. In the lot were 67 rnds of ammo with a silver tip (looks like aluminum) I did some research and found that they are armour piercing Incendiary. Seems there isn't a lot of this stuff to around anymore. I wonder, how much do you think it's worth per round? Thanks |

Sounds like commercial Winchester Silver Tip. Is the nose of the bullet semi flat?

Not bad ammo except that it is not loaded for proper operation in an M1 Garand, so shoot it in something else. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/182612/winchester-super-x-ammunition-30-06-springfield-180-grain-silvertip-box-of-20 It's on sale right now so a little over a buck a round... once the sale ends at the end of the month they will go back up to about a buck and a half a round... |
