This may be in the wrong spot but can anyone tell me much about them? I have one that was a Vietnem bring back. Still works but the modern D battery I used was too big to put the lid back on. Are some slighty smaller or should I look for surplus BA 30s like was in it? Any info at all would be helpful.

might be a c size battery. I know our kits we used for setting up lz's had landing lights in them that took c batteries. (this was much more recent than vietnam era however.
