Here's most of what I have:

I need to get the camera out again.  Some closers shots of some of them:

This is a Springfield/Rock Island hybrid.  The receiver was made at RRA around 1918 but they never assembled it into a rifle.  Years later, Springfield obtained all fo RRA's leftover parts.  Some receivers had no stamp and received the SA stamp & S/N.  Some receivers had the RRA stamp and S/N.  A small number, about 1500, had the RRA stamp but no S/N and when assembed into a completed rifle, SA put their serial number on it. http://www.pbase.com/lehnherr/image/43818221/large.jpg

I just stripped the wood, buffed it down a bit with high grit sand paper, then steel wool to smooth it, then about 3 coats of hand-rubbed Boiled Linseed Oil.

didn't touch the metal.

well, all I changed out was the front barrel band.  The one that came with it, kept coming loose after a few shots, ordered a replacement from tngunworks.  I can't remember what year type I ordered, but it was speicfically the one I wanted.  Other than that, I didn't replace anything on the rifle.  The stock is obviously a yugo add on, not german.  The barrel migh possible be a new yugo made barrel.  I could be wrong though.

These 1944 walnut stocked rifles were "hand select" from AIM and were the filthiest firearms I've ever laid my eyes on - I was less than pleased when I opened up the shipping box. After much time and effort they seemed to clean up ok - I've only shot the lower one with excellent results. They don't compare with some of the beauties I seen posted but thy're mine and I love 'em.

Just for kicks, I blued the butt plate on the upper rifle...thanks for looking!

Why's the ejection port on your S&W closed despite the slide being to the rear ?

Lots of beautiful items here.  I have not seen any french auto loaders though, so here's my MAS4956 in unmodified .308.

And yeah, never fired, dropped once of course ;)  I like it anyways :)

IT must have been dropped in tall Vietnamese grass or soft Algerian sand...because that looks to be in great condition.  I always thought those were some cool rifles.
