ok, I ordered my application about a week ago, and I got the packet today.
However, it was missing the Certificate of Compliance paper work, had no mention of it anywhere, and didn't give me any reason to believe I needed it. It did however send me a card to order forms with in the future, on which it didn't even have the Certificate of Compliance as being available to order at all. Is it still required, or has something changed? If it is needed, should I just resubmit my order for one? The receipt only had the C&R license application listed, so I am worring that they never even got my order for it, (even though I submitted both on the same request). |

Your name goes in line 1 and 2 (seems stupid but that's how it works). Sign and date line 7. |

They cashed my check 4 days after I sent it, got my C&R 5 weeks later. Good luck !

Sent mine off 4/12/2005 and got it 4/27/2005 but then got my address wrong,
so the wait goes on. |

Ive got a question for you c&r holders in michigan, if the state has "no provisions" for full auto ownership, does the c&r licsense over ride this? or dose the local CLEO have the final say? just wondering how that would work. i held a regular FFL for a long time, but let it go back in '98.

I don't believe so.
You can buy C&R Class III weapons in MI, but you still need to go thru the normal process - LEO sign-off, ATF approval, etc. |

I submitted my app about 9 weeks ago, and still haven't heard anything. Is anyone else taking this long? I called to check on status and they said not to call back until it had been over 90 days, but it seems like 3-5 weeks is the norm.

I sent mine in in January. They took my money on Jan. 31st. I received my license about three days ago. Call them and bug the crap out of them. Ain't no telling how long mine was laying there. I called them about 3 weeks ago and he said yeah everything checked out. We'll get that right out to you. Took another 2 weeks after that. And some people want the govt to help us with health care. You would be dead of old age before you could get any help for a headache!

Line 10 Nonimmigrant alien Certification on Compliance with 18 U.S.C. 922 A. name of person certifying compliance Do I sign this part? Do i certify myself?  I am not a nonimmigrant alien, illegal alien, or any other such nonsense. C. Are you in possesion of a valid hunting license or permit lawfully issued in the United States? Why would this even matter? What does hunting have to do with C&R firearms? Line 15 What do i put under title? Individual, private collector? Something like that? CLEO copy, line 8 Payment information. Can I leave this blank on the CLEO copy? I really don't like the idea of some yahoo clerk at the Sheriffs office having my CC info. Since the ATF is the one charging the fee, I see no reason why the Sheriff should have this info. Am I right on this, Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help or advice, Dan |

You are correct. The CLEO has no business with you credit card info. Leave it blank on his copy.

Need some help guys. I got my packet in today from the ATF and it has the Application for FFL C&R License, but it does not have the ATF US Citizenship certification Form F 5330.20. Where can I get the citizenship form? I went to www.atf.gov/dcof/index.htm but it does not have that form listed.
Where do I go to order one? Thanks |

It's now included with the new form, Line 10 on the second page. The link I posted explains everything in detail. Probably why they don't have that form on the website anymore.

My check was cashed a week after I mailed it, so I guess I'm approved.
now the nail biting part. It's been... four weeks... and I couldn't wait anymore and drove up to AIM to get two more k-31s and an enfiled. |
