Its New to me maybe they've been out for a while. The sb-x barrel is pretty neat, and im thinking of ways to make most of my 22's suppressor ready. Anyone got one and like it, anyone dont like it?

Look under the silencer section. I have never seen a bad review. Super light and accurate.

I wish they would have been around when I ordered my tacsol barrel. My barrel has been great.

Had one and sold it to find another build.

Dont remember much at that point about it other than it was light.

OP - if you have an accurate barrel already or you want an all steel barrel with a shroud you can have Brimstone Gunsmithing put on one of their shrouds on a barrel - cost is around 170.00 so it is a little cheaper than the TacSol (normally around 225.00 or so around here) and if you already have a barrel you like then your set.

I liked mine but honestly the stock barrel was just as accurate.  Also was a bit concerned with the possibility of my Spectre II's end cap unscrewing and getting stuck down there.  I'm sure I could have gotten it out but it would have been a PITA.  With something like a Sparrow no issues.

That's pretty nifty

Mine was really hard to install.. I got it stuck in the receiver.

Other than that, they're great. I'm more of a 4.5" .22 barrel on everything myself, though.
My paclite barrel was super tight too. I thought about taking it out but I'm not entirely sure I could get it out

I have one on a takedown and besides the not so pretty looks I love the concept.  Super light, accurate and really cuts down the oal.  Perfect with my x22 backpacker stock.

Are there multiple companies making this sort of product now, or only tacsol?

I've got one with a Sparrow on the end.   Very accurate and lightweight.

I have a metric ton of .22lr barrel blank drops from a friend. I have thought about buying some SS steel tube and making some welded 16" subsonic bloop barrels with 2.5" of rifling. I would not attempt to thread the muzzle, and I would just use a .920" OD.

Would be a bitch to clean, probably would just have to throw it away or get an ultrasonic cleaner. Would be light-weight, all steel.

I have five SBX barrels 10/22 TD, 10/22, two PWS Summits and a AR-22. I like them for suppressors shorter OAL  and huge weight savings. Mine all shoot better than I can in field conditions so accuracy is there for me.

I have one installed on a 10/22 I set-up for pest control in the garden (big garden on acreage). The barrel is lightweight. I like the look of the barrel extension. My SiCo Sparrow fits and functions perfectly. It's great because it gives me more versatility for my Sparrow without the hastle or added expense of another SBR.
