I've lost count.  6 or 7.  No takedown, though.  I need one of those.

I probably have enough spare parts to build two more.

Built this for my daughter...probably my wildest/most expensive build.

I bought my first in 1982.  I still have it.  I bought my second around 1992.  They are shooters for me, not collectors.  I will stack up the lever guns, and that is what I am working on.

This is an old photo, I have a better scope, mount, and pool table cover these days:

I just have on 10/22 Takedown, unless you count my 2 Magnum Research 1722s (22.lr and 22WMR), then I guess that makes 3, dammit they do multiply.

Takedown with Tapco stock, and TacSol SBX barrel

JEEBUS, that is beautiful!!  I have the OEM laminated stock ruger. And I thought THAT was gorgeous. If my public school system brainwashed libtard 17 year old daughter would shoot it, I'D BUILD THAT!  Might just make that my new screen background.

Get a Savage MK2 and you wont have to buy so many inferior rifles to compensate.    I had a few 10/22s but could never get into them. Now I want a CZ.

I had one but replaced it with an R55, just couldn't get into the 10/22. It would have cost me 2x the price of the R55 to make the 10/22 shoot as nice.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it my FAVORITE. It has a $30 simmons scope, and it by far, gets the most trigger love of any rifle I own.

It is a point and shoot, tack driving, critter dropping MACHINE. Almost frickin magical. I know the eye length and cheek press on it so well, I can get lead downrange near as quick as my handguns. and 10x more accurately.

I swear, even when I think I twitched, they die anyway. I like seeing woodchucks in the wild. I kind of miss the sight of them. Not.

The 10/22's definitely are the most used guns at my house. They always tag along to the range, camping, hiking, hunting even just going for a drive. I expect to break 30 of them this year, in the high 20's now.

I agree they are addictive. I've got four takedowns and two or three others. One of my takedowns is my go gun. It's got nodak sights and a threaded barred for my sparrow. I added the BX trigger group to all of them.

I bought my first 10/22 in 1978.  I've shot it so much it feels like an extension of my body.

Then I bought and built this

in about 1992 or so.

I just bought a Rebel SOS-22 suppressor this morning so maybe I need another.

Hmmm......a takedown with a threaded barrel.  Or an sbr with a folding stock and threaded barrel.

That stock is gorgeous! I have the simple OEM laminate, but love the look. Is the pocketing into the butt stock to lighten it?
That's way more glass than my own stock ruger could probably ever need. I only need it good to 100, just not enough energy to do much but punch paper after that. And a fixed 3x gives me good mag AND a wide field.  Is yours good out to distance?

I only have 3, 1 is still unfired and the other 2 are matching builds (his/hers) ruger receiver/bolt and Kidd everything else, pws raptor stocks. Both wear suppressors as well.

Thanks.  The stock started Life as a semi-finished Fajen.  Fully inletted but I had to rasp and sand and finish the exterior although that pocket was already cut.  I imagine it is to lighten the thing.   It is a thumbhole stock but I find if I stick my thumb through the hole I end up with a death grip on it.  So I lay my thumb vertically and place it on the slanted surface behind the receiver.  Very comfortable and I naturally keep a light grip on the stock.

I've killed prairiedogs put to ~300 yds with my standard carbine wearing a very old Tasco 4x-12x scope.   I haven't had any chance to do that with this one.  No doggies around here.  So I just plink with it.  Haven't even really found what ammo it likes best yet.

My Rem 513T loves Winchester T22, can't find now, and my Savage Mkll in the tactical stock loves bulk PMC Zapper in the 50 round boxes, can't find that either.

10/22's are every bit as addicting as BRD, probably more so because there are a lot more options for 10/22's and in general, they are much cheaper.

The good thing for me is, I am one of the few people who thinks the Charger and Takedown models are both dumb and I have absolutely no desire for either. That has kept me from feeling the need to add a few more 10/22's to the mix.

I have five normal 10/22s.  One day I'll add a takedown and a 96/22.

The one that started it all was bought for 50 bucks from a friend.  It is pretty much a Ruger Target now, the barrel being treaded by the previous owner.  Hogue stock come with the rifle.  I've worked the action.  I put the most time on this rifle.

The next one was CT's fault.  They accidently unbanned 22LR rifles with the passing of the 2013 AWB.  It was short lived, but I manged to get one of the last few Talo ITACs in the state.  I put a cheap red dot sight and is fun plinker on steel targets.

Next was a preban I put into a HTA bullpup stock.  In CT this is the closest I get to be Jack ONeil.

Walmart screwed me when they cleared out guns two years ago.  I couldn't pass up a stainless 10/22 for 124.   Now it is in an OEM tan stock, William Ace in the hole sights and a Ruger laser barrel band.

I fell into my last one at an auction for 60 bucks.  This preban was converted for firing blanks.  I swapped out the barrel and firing pin to fire live rounds.  This rifle is ugly but have no plans for it.

I'd say that too, but my mostest favoritist is my Ruger SR22. Bought It and my first 10-22 this last year.  Both are cutting in to my Obama stash of ammo, big time.

I guess I haven't caught this disease yet, my only 10/22 is a stock 18"/wood stock model and hasn't been shot in a couple years!

I'd like to try a good threaded aluminum sleeved barrel and a Magpul stock on it, but I'm torn between working on the 10/22 or building a 16" AR .22 upper instead.

I shoot the heck out of my Ruger American Rimfire Predator, SR-22p, and 22/45 LITE with my suppressors, although I have to say my 4.5" .22lr SBR upper I recently got is the most fun.

I bought a takedown last week just because the Magpul Backpacker stock tickled my fancy. Tech sights are on, just debating which trigger kit or assembly now

My new receiver from Nodak Spud arrived at the ffl today. Just waiting for some screws and such from Midway and my 'target' 10/22 wont have anymore OEM Ruger parts on it (only the bolt, charging handle, receiver and v-block are the oem parts). That means the 'takeoff' barrel, stock and trigger pack will be all back together in the 10/22's original state. Then I'll have 2 10/22's. Probably this summer build a 3rd and see how light I can make it.

I just picked up a take down from my buddy yesterday. I keep buying 10/22s but selling them when I want a couple of bucks for a new project. But I NEED one. My local range only allows 22 rifles, so it's stupid not to have it. And the take down in a case fits perfectly in my trunk, so it can live there and I can stop at the range and blast a bit without the constant packing and unpacking of the gear every day.

still love regular ARs with conversion kits, but the 10/22 makes grownups giggle

It is not just the rifles.  I'm like, Oh this is a great deal for X dollars, but then its the Rings, Mount, Scope, Trigger, Stock, Tech Sights, another barrel, Sling, etc etc...

I got a Mossy Oak take down, and put a Leupold 2-7 33mm on it, and Game Reaper rings/mount, and a Kidd trigger, butler creek sling.  Not even touched the barrel or stock yet, and I'm getting close to $900.

It is almost as bad as the Black Rifle Disease.
