I'm thinking about ordering a few of these to whiten down the action on my 10/22 for suppressor use.

Is there a notable difference in the clack? Do they effect reliability? Any other issues?

Experiences? Suggestions?

Do either the urethane buffer or the kidd rubber buffer. If you get the kidd take the metal out first then install rubber and then once installed insert the metal rod in the center

Kidds are viton rubber over a steel rod. He makes great parts and has fair shipping prices.

If anything 10/22 is the question, Kidd is the answer

I did this six or seven years ago except with the added step of blackening the ends of the white nylon replacement stop with a permanent marker so they don't "show".

I bought a cheap 3 pack of nylon buffers on eBay. The first one is still fine and softens up the action a bit.
