I just bought a new green mountain bull barrel. It didn't come with instructions. It's in plastic with grease all around it (kind of like an old C&R rife).

I'm thinking I just use cleaner to get all the grease off the outside of the barrel and run a few patches through ?

I would brake cleaner or gun scrubber the whole thing and wipe it off and patch the bore clean. Then I would give it a light wipe down with an oil soaked patch.
