That particular shop usually has CCI SV at $40 a brick and has had a steady supply lately. I believe I have about 4,000 rounds of SV now and some other various stuff that I am trying to get rid of.

I can't help but think it's sad that a lot of people seem to think $40 for a brick of CCI SV is "not too shabby"
I get that these days, that is the current "not too shabby" price but I can't get over the fact that before the .22LR ammo crunch, I could walk into Dick's any day of the week and buy a brick for $25. I'm pissed that I didn't buy more of it at the time and that my stash is almost gone and if I want more, I will have to start paying the current "not too shabby" price of $40 a brick.
The part that really bothers me is, because most people seem to be so comfortable paying that much for CCI SV .22LR, we probably won't ever see a significant price drop... and I really just don't understand why?
Why is there even still a shortage and stupid high pricing for .22? I've read a number of articles and posts, each with their own different theory as to why but none of them really hold much water IMO? Every other common caliber is back in stock at (or close to) pre-panic pricing. Reloading components are almost back too normal too so what the fuck with 22 ammo?
