What is its stated purpose?

Or is it a "third 22" to have?

Tempted.   Don't know why.

That's my plan. I'm over rifle pistols. Unless you do something like silhouette they are not very good tools. Just too awkward.

They look fun. I just haven't decided to buy one yet.

I was ringing my 6" gong at 50 yards with this one offhand last time at the range. Putting it up to my cheek.

I think they can be a very effective survival tool if you set them up right. Great for a get home bag.

And super fun as a suppressor host. It was actually quieter than the P22 with my buddies Sparrow on it.

What's the barrel length on that, and did you buy an aftermarket barrel or cut down the factory barrel? I kinda want a charger for my silencers, even though I already have several hosts, but I definitely want to shoot bulk pack subsonic.

I have one of the receivers you did with the built in rear sight. Was going to build a Appleseed rifle but the more I thought about it the more I leaned towards making it a sbr.

The front sight I got from you guys is bigger and uglier though. I like yours better.

My next purchase will probably be a 22 that will be my family's main range gun for decades to come.

Ive had the 15-22 in my earlier years, and honestly will probably go that route again, mainly due to the lack of an automatic bolt hold open, but I was thinking of the charger as a benchrest to teach the youngest how to shoot properly and safely.   But I can't figure out what else to do with it barring and SBR and making it a short rifle.

i use mine for hunting with a can.

easy to get in and out of the truck and with Gemtech shells it stays under the crack point and functions flawlessly.

shooting it freehand thought? not my cup of tea, however with a mini bi-pod, it's creepy steady and i just seem to shoot it well.

I wouldn't get one unless you have a can and want to SBR it, if not what is the point?

Still no last round bolt hold open?
Or did they fix that?

Still no last round hold open. I think the magazines would need to be redesigned to make that happen

I do most of my shooting at the range. Works great there with the bi-pod.

I just ordered a charger take down, going to SBR and put in an AGP stock.

They are on sale at CDNN for $250 for the TD and $220 for the standard.  The takedown is about $50 less than a large distributors price...

I picked up a Charger TD with the intent of picking up a normal 10/22 TD and have the option to switch back and forth.

The charger is pretty cool, but I wish I had gone with the standard model and not the TD.

Could be great for a survival gun, 3 mags and a brick of ammo could go a long ways.

By swapping in a rifle stock or by using the TD model and swapping the barrel with a TD rifle? Or Both?

seems the shockwave blade would go a long way

If you are going to replace the stock (and possibly barrel too) anyway, why not just start with a 10/22 rifle for less money?

To be honest, a folding stock and 4-6" barrel will be almost the same size as a TD model without a folding stock is not smaller. I would much rather just have to fold it open than install a  barrel.

Neighbor has a TD SBR with the intergal barrel, it's nice as heck but unless I am going to do a intergal suppressor the TD is not worth it to sbr IMO.

How about a folding stock and a take down? Finally got around to engraving and sending in a Form 2.  I need to cut some foam for the case.

I'd be in to a Charger if there was an off the shelf pistol brace option.
Closest I've seen is taking the Blackhawk carbine drop in stock and removing the adj. stock and just running the bare tube. But since it starts out as a rifle stock to begin with, I'm not willing to go down that road. I'm comfortable running bare tubes, Shockwave & SB braces on AR & AK pistols though.

Check out the PMACA stocks at Pmacamfg.com.  They are threaded for an AR15 buffer tube.  There is also a stock made by Old Fort Arms that will accept an AR buffer tube.

Doesn't someone by the name of Nordic Arms make a bolt-on receiver that takes AR furniture? neat idea but I think it's $200 just for the receiver, and that's before you add a brace.

I wish someone made a brace like the SB47 brace that just slips in between the AR grip and the body of the stock Ruger. Hard to justify putting $300 or more in to a brace option for a $300 gun.

I did watch someone's video of a Charger with a Black Dog drum, that did look like range toy fun.

I own a couple. They are really useful with the bipod. On a bench at the range, prone on the ground or kneeling with the bipod on a rock or fence or tree limb. Compact and easy to carry. Great as a suppressor host if you don't want to buy another stamp for an SBR. I really like mine.

I set one up for my Wife to use to take care of rabbits and groundhogs in her garden. She is not a "gun person" but can easily make head shots out to 50 yards with her Charger off the deck.

You could also make that a folder.

But never "shoulder" an arm brace.

I bought one and haven't used it yet.  I was thinking the threaded barrel would be easy to put a suppressor on.  Now I'm waiting to hear if the tax stamp is going away.

My other option is for a cut down HM2 barrel that might work better with the HM2 round's pressure curve.

Both would be lazy shooting, from a sturdy bench or prone.
