Bought CCI mini mags a week ago. I was very excited to use them in my 10/22s as its the first time I've ever gotten my hands on mini mags! I've only heard good things about them

Anyway, all four of my BX-25s got the cartridges jammed just below the feed lips. Didn't matter which gun, each magazine jammed after ~5 rounds. One rifle has an 18in barrel and the other rifle has a 12.75in barrel.

The magazines are relatively new, but maybe they need cleaned? What am I missing? Both rifles continued to run flawlessly afterward with Winchester white box high velocity.

Notice the chunk taken out of the bullet, and there is a slight dent midway down the case, too.

When mine were new they did the same now that they are a few years old they work fine.  It's definitely not the ammo though, but it is a PITA to get the stuck rounds out.

I also read that this was a problem on the older BX25 mags, not sure when the "fix" was addressed by Ruger or if there really was a fix by them

Mine all run flawless with what ever ammo i put in them. They are new current production mags

Let us know if you get them working with the mini mags

Mini mags have a shorter OAL then much of the other 22 ammo I have measured. In my BX mags the shorter rounds have a tendency to stack with the rim of a round over the rear of the round below it. This causes loaded mags not to present the top round correctly and jam. I solved the problem by not using mini mags in my BX mags.  Longer OAL 22 ammo runs flawlessly through them.
