I have a Kidd build complete and I just bought a 4x12 40mm vortex scope. What rings should I put on this thing? My understanding is I want the scope to be as close to barrel as possible.

Here is my Kidd build

They are Warne Maxima Quick Disconnect rings. 1" matte low with a Nikon 3-9x40 scope. The rings are made well and are steel so they are pretty solid.

Should work pretty good then. They are a well built ring.

As long as you have the scope placed for the correct eye relief in your normal shooting position you're set.

If you were shooting prone I'd say the scope is probably too far back but for benched shooting it looks about right.

I haven't put it through its paces. Its heavier than the magpul one and I would have not bought it if the magpul one was out at the time, tbh.

I really want one of those because it's a good compromise in shape between a hunting and bench rest stock. I'm still on the fence, I've heard of accuracy issues with the Magpul
