I've seen tons of videos out there of how people bed their stocks, most of them are similar and some are very different.

Is there a correct way to do this?  I don't ever modify parts that I buy for my firearms so this will be my first modification (don't wanna screw it up!)

If you guys have a video that shows how to properly bed a stock, please do share.

There is a post in the huge savage fvsr thread about pillar bedding with some poly spacers, think it is linked in the OP.  This is what I followed and it worked great.

imho Richard Franklin does a very good job on stress free pillar bedding.  Here's a link to text of what's done.

He sells a dvd on the full procedure, and if you do a video search with his name you can find snippets of him doing the bedding.





I bought the dvd, having no experience bedding and it's a purchase that I don't regret, it helped me out and resulted in my gaining the knowledge to do the job well.
