I've got an 18.5" 10/22 barrel that is threaded too deep for a .22 and requires a spacer. I'd like to have it cut down to 16" and threaded he proper length.

Who should I send it to?

I used Jim Pixley to cut and thread my Browning Buckmark. He does great work:

Perhaps sell old barrel on EE ?
Then buy a quality 16" threaded barrel ?

I only send out oddball barrels, when I cant find a new replacement.

Crunch the numbers, and you may be better off.

Do this before you send the barrel off.  Especially if it's a factory barrell.

It's a factory barrel but that's really what I want. I have no interest in any of the heavy bull or target barrels which seems to be about all that's available for aftermarket.

YHM has a threaded 16" sporter.

Mcgowen barrels also offers them as do a handful of other companies.

Or you could look around for a OEM 16" threaded barrel. This one is out of stock right now, but it gets you an idea.

Not a fan of ebay but there are a few sellers on it that seem to do nothing but teardown 10/22s and sell them as components, or maybe sell sourced parts too. You can get about anything. I was looking for a full locking block assembly so I can have another full barreled assembly for my 10/22 Takedown.. they are on there too. (I will give Ruger a call before I buy from ebay)
As an example: Threaded factory barrel with birdcage flash suppressor off Ruger Tactical 10/22. Couldn't say if it is 'proper length' threads though.
10/22 16" TALO Barrel
ETA: Stainless Factory 16"
SST Threaded 16"
And another blued one, No flash suppressor.
Blued

Tactical Inc has some plausible ones too.
BBLs

Ruger CS is also worth a call.
