Main thread and pics are in GD but here is the gist. More views there though.

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1737763_Ruger_Charger__designed_a_new_stock_for_it.html

Looking for design suggestions, avoid fine detail. Keep it a useful design and not too steam punk.
If it is something I like the .stl file will be made available. I am looking for a cool looking user with style.

Added some color and texture, different background and a Spectre 2

After lots of criticism of the grip tried this 1873ish variant. I have no idea what to do with the front though.

Already 3d printed this one;

Didn't come out right, too fine detail for the machine;

I might try to push the first design in this direction but would like to blend it with some modern elements. Maybe panel lines and rivets?

I'd like to try out that 1873.
Maybe get rid of the front part of the stock?

Some can go but about 40% of that is required for the v-block area. Shoop me an alternative if you can, would appreciate it.

Looks nice.

Is that a cut down factory barrel?

I'm thinking about doing a form 1 for a Charger SBR.

Yeah, I had the charger bbl cut to 4.5". I have two spare 1022 bbls but they would have the rear sight dove tail there. Wanted the cleaner look.

Really nice looking work. Did you send it off or have it done locally?

I suggest you scrap the ruger logo. Gun company or not their legal staff frowns upon their Registered TM being used with out monetary compensation. Other then that, very nice concepts.

New design, dueling pistol stock.

Checkering in the grip recess will not print properly, just leaving it like that.

A little texture and color added.

Inspiration. Tough goal with the huge and blocky receiver size.

Smooth shading with short bbl

Shows hollow handle, saves weight.

This shape could be mostly duplicated using a 1022 wood stock, all but the last little bit of the grip.

OP, better be careful Ruger doesn't try to sue you for using their registered logo.  Ask KIDD if you don't believe me.

Update since last time, I put a KIDD recoil spring guide/bolt handle and 10% reduced power spring in it.
Runs with Win 333, Federal 550 and CCI Tactical better now.
I did notice that my super old pre-ban Butler Creek mags were causing it to jam.
I tried some new BX-25 mags and it ran fine. Everything is subsonic out of the 4.5" bbl so far.

Still working on the wood dueling stock so it is the old printed stock for now.

Finished my wood stock for it. From a discarded 1022 stock. It needs some checkering or something, may play with it further yet. I have never done checkering so it may go for laser cut http://www.chuckaroos.com/grips.htm

I like the wooden flintlock-ish stock. Have you thought of taking some of the cutoff wood and adding it to the pistol grip area? I have an extra stock, I might try that.

On your printed stock, try a Magpul K grip. It will really liven up the stock and give it a much cleaner line.

Good suggestion. I have two pistols with K2 grips 300 BLK 8" / 10.5" 5.45x39

Unfortunately the main weakness of 3d printed anything is fragility. I printed the hole for the grip bolt and it turned out too thin and the whole angled surface where the grip mounts cracked. I had to JB weld that grip on there to repair the surface and mount the A2 grip. It ain't going nowhere. I might print another square stock with less detail and use a K2 on it.
