What is your favorite rimfire scope?

My current favorite is the Nikon Prostaff Rimfire fixed power 4x32mm that I have on my 10/22.

I'm looking for a scope for a RAR 22lr. I'm thinking about a P-Rimfire 2-7x32mm or a Redfield Battlezone TAC22 2-7x34mm.

I'm partial to the Leupold 3-9x33mm EFR as well as their regular centerfire VX-II 3-9x40mm on a full size  bolt action .22 LR.

On a small .22 like the 10-22 the Leupold 2-7x33mm works fine.

I love my Leupold VX-2 4-12X40mm with fine crosshair reticle. The glass is amazingly clear, the 4-12X power perfect for general use and the reticle is fine enough to allow for very precise aiming to take advantage of the KIDD rifles accuracy....and it comes in silver!

What about the Nikon ProStaff Target EFR 3-9x40?

This and the 3-9x BDC look like  really awesome scopes, but I can't get over the size of them. Using high scope rings on a 22 just does not sit well with me for some reason.

Maybe I will save up for a leupold. Also looking at Vortex.

Leupold 3x9 EFR Rimfire. Pricy but worth it in my opinion. The 2x7 EFR Leupold Rimfire is better for hunting squirrels because of lower magnification and finding small game at close distances. Better than scopes with parallax set for 100 yards for centerfire rifles.

After some research I'm leaning towards a weaver rv7 2-7x28mm.

The efr is a nice feature but my primary use will be squirrel hunting so I don't think the ao is really necessary.

They rv7 is small,  light, can be mounted low, reviews very positively,  and is affordable.

The Weaver is a good scope for the money, I have one on my BRNO #5. I also have the Leupold 4x12 mentioned above on a Kimber 82 and it is a much nicer scope but it cost a lot more $$. For squirrel hunting the Weaver works just fine, but for hunting and range time I prefer the Leupold.

Primary Arms 4-16x44 lighted Mildot Scope. Very clear optic for the great price of $160.

Weaver V16 FCH 4-16x40AO. or Leupold VXII 4-12x40AO slightly smaller for shooting groups on heavier guns.

Woods/hunting lighter gun, Nikon 3-9 Prostaff Rimfire BDC.

I have one on a dedicated .22 upper.  The adjustable focus is a nice feature for closer range shooting, such as 50ft benchrest.

For general use and hunting, I have a Weaver RV-9 on my CZ455 American. Small size, really good glass, light weight, low mounting, and AO that gets down to really, really close make it a great .22 scope.

My silhouette gun wears a V24, but that's a single activity gun, and I wouldn't recommend that scope for anything other than target work on a .22

I have two of those, and they work fine.

I use Nikon Prostaff Rimfire scopes on all my .22's except my Hk MP 5 SD 22, which wears a Vortex Strikefire.

I ended up getting this one. I have the 4x one on my 10/22. I love the value and quality of nikon scopes. I was able to mount it lower than I thought I would,  which I like.

I love vortex too, I got one on my 308. If I wanted a good target scope I probably would have got their 4-12x with AO.

I have two of these scopes on my rifles - a Ruger 10/22 Tactical Target and my Benjamin multi pump air rifle.  Awesome scopes.

Simple, well-made rimfire parallax specific 2-7x hunting scopes are all that are needed on all but pure target rifles.  I like the Leupold take on this, as shown below.  And the proportions seem right.  Simple fixed 4x scopes are also good.

The 3-9x40 period correct '60s Redfield on my Rem 552 Speedmaster is almost proportionally and physically too big, but functions fine.

If you want one that doesn't break the bank look at the Meuller 4.5-14 APV, very functional!

I just bought one for myself for Christmas. I got it from Midway when they had their optics 15% off and free shipping. Plus I had a 1st time buyer $15.00 off too. I mounted it on my CZ452 American in .17 hmr. Anyway, I just sighted it in today. Very impressed. The glass was as clear as my Nikons. Adjustable parallax from 50 yards to 400 yards. The eye relief was very forgiving for a guy who wears bi-foculs. Very easy scope to see through. No problem seeing  quarter sized bull and hitting it at 100 yards. I couldn't really see the bullet holes through the scope though.

I too just bought a mueller apv and put it on a savage 17hmr.  Haven't been able to go to range yet but scope seems nice!!
