I have spent a couple of hours trying to figure this out, and I haven't been able to find a consistent answer.

I just recently purchased a Savage Mark II FV-SR and I am putting a BSA Tactical Mil-Mil Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 4-14x 44mm Side Focus 1/10 Mil Adjustments First Focal MRAD Reticle Matte (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/456482/bsa-tactical-mil-mil-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-4-14x-44mm-side-focus-1-10-mil-adjustments-first-focal-mrad-reticle-matte?cm_vc=ProductFinding) on it.

I need recommendations on what rings to use for it. I want something quality, but also budget friendly. I am looking for best bang for your buck. I want it to sit as low as possible on the rifle to be able to achieve a good cheek weld, but I want enough clearance for the lens covers to fit. It will mostly stay on my Savage, but I also might throw it on my AR-15 from time to time.
